It may be that your windup motor box was assembled incorrectly at the factory. To find out, take apart the model, back to step 7, so you can remove the windup motor box.

The windup motor box should look like the image on the left. If your windup motor box looks like the image on the right, please contact Thames & Kosmos technical support, and we will send you a free replacement part. Click this link to request a replacement part.
